Easter - He is Risen

Updated: Apr 3

Jesus rising from the tomb.

Yes, I apologise this blog is late but it's too important to miss. Especially, given the present global circumstances. It's times like these when people tend to turn to God for help - even if they are unsure of His existence.

Yesterday was a beautiful, warm and sunny Easter Sunday. As I went about my day, albeit at home in isolation due to the Corona virus, I thought a lot about what Jesus had suffered. The brutality he endured, for all of us. How could a human being inflict so much pain onto another man? A man who had done nothing except speak the truth and give us hope; heal the sick, raise the dead, feed the thousands and more. From the cross He said, "Father forgiven them for they no not what they do." (Luke 23:34)

It's hard to imagine anyone being able to say that after what he had gone through, isn't it? However, Jesus tells us to, "Love your enemy and pray for those who persecute you, that you may be sons of your Father in heaven." (Matthew 5:44)

Just as Jesus was. For he says, "Be perfect therefore, as your heavenly Father is perfect." (Matthew 5:48) He is everyone's Father.

Our time on earth is very short.
